We visited Jonny Wilson from Eclectic Method in his Madison Ave apartment so he could spin us through the kind of magic we’ll be seeing at DNCHRD IV on May 20: live video mixing on interactive dance walls.
People go nuts when they hear Busta Rhymes come in over Guns & Roses, Cool Hand Luke remixed with scenes from Slam. The very sickness.

We sent our PHTHRD II competitors–Jonathan Harris, Joseph O. Holmes and Elizabeth Weinberg–out into the world with a Polaroid camera and asked them to take pictures of anything that filled them with dread, curiosity or awe. Then they sat down and told us about their pictures and why the art of storytelling is something we should do our utmost to protect. The result is a calm, crafted video that raises certain shards of the world caught on film to a new light.
Jonathan, Joseph and Elizabeth will be using Polaroid pictures…

PHTHRD II will spin a yarn made of stories.
We asked some of New York City’s most experienced storytellers what it means to “live hard” how they would describe their life in one word and whether or not they’d like to live in a world without pictures.
The common thread among all the men and women we interviewed seemed to be that they didn’t want storytelling to become a lost art.
We’re doing our best to prevent that: PHTHRD II, March 25th. A night of narratives written with pictures.

Latest ARCH DL VDO has the rotation of the sun, the moon and the entire Alaskan Wilderness.
We built a miniature tundra for the architects from KONYK and FXFOWLE to use in their construction of a Wildlife research center at last month’s Architects Duel.
Our compulsion to force creative limitations on intelligent people, however, demanded that they use only plastic drinking straws to build the models.
It’s actually kind of a bizarre video. Unlike anything we’ve ever done. Kind of minimal and sweeping. I really like it.

LVHRD’s own Lumberjack gits hisself ready for ARCH DL IV, chopping down what materials a man is likely to find growing in the city.
Next Tuesday, Jan 29, we’re all headin up north a piece to the A-laskan Wilderness to watch two teams of architects design buildins the likes of which you ain’t never like to have seen.
It’s gonna be a bigun, so git your tickets at the gittin place and show up strapped like a lumberjack: we’ll provide the livestock.

Held on December 18th, LVHRD & Veer’s BIFOLD YOUTH found an intimate crowd Down Under The Manhattan Bridge Overpass celebrating young people & the arts. Presenters included Ted & Betsy Lewin, award-winning children’s authors & illustrators, and The Tiny Masters of Today - Brooklyn’s premiere adolescent rock band fronted by siblings Ada & Ivan.
In this weeks VDO, catch a quick glimpse of the Tiny Masters at their loudest and most celebratory as they offer a crowd-shifting rendition of “Jump Around.”

With help from Veer, we took over the New York Table Tennis Foundation’s underground palace for a night of sport and design with ping pong pro Wally Green, Upnorth designers Justin Kay and Steve Green and 5boro skateboards founder Mark Nardelli.
