Framing
On weekends the friends would come up from New York City to build their respective cabins. Here you can see Mr. Zink inspecting the roof system.
Cozy winter hideout
This 8 x 12ft cabin was able to sleep up to 3 people comfortably. With a bunk bed that was queen on the bottom and single on the top with views of Mambacus mountain in the winter.
Winter
Mr Zink and his friends would bring up a few gallons of water, food, and other supplies. The outhouse was just 100 yards away.
1985
The addition of a 16x16ft room made it possible to have more people come and stay at the cabin.
The Addition
The new space would house a wood burning stove, a kitchen, pull out couch, and generous windows to bring the nature indoors.

The new deck is complete with a few trees cleared the view begins to peek through.
the place to get together
the 'mountain' has a way of bringing people together. The hand made efforts over many weekends build the anticipation of the merry celebrations ahead.
Fireplace
In December of 1986 Mr Zink installed a Vermont Castings stove with a blue stone hearth and distressed brick. The firesplace allowed for him to get the space up to nearly 90 degrees F on the coldest of winter days.
